The nearest railway station is in Jesenice (25 km) or Tarvisio (Italy, 15 km).

There are regular bus connections from Jesenice or Ljubljana. Kranjska Gora is easily reachable also by car. Those. arriving via Italy or Austria take Udine - Salzburg motorway exit Tarvisio East.

The lively adventures of the Julian Alps are waiting for you in Kranjska Gora and its surroundings. There are countless adventures you can try, from an active holiday to a peaceful discovering of nature and the cultural heritage. You can uncover the mystery of well-being in the rich wellness offer, attend business and social meetings or take your family to explore the mystical past of the Zgornjesavska valley. You will never be bored.

Uncovering natural sights

The first miraculous trail can be found in the Triglav National Park – the The Triglavska Bistrica trail in the Vrata Valley is a true adventure of nature – the Peričnik and Galerij waterfalls, the upper part of the Vrata Valley and the mighty North Face of Triglav. Conquering Triglav along this face is an adventure worth taking at least two days off.

In the surroundings of Rateče, you can take the forest path towards the three-country border, among the fields to Planica and on to Tamar, to Zelenci and across the Italian border to the Mangart or Bela peč lakes.

Perhaps the most beautiful trail in the Zgornjesavska Valley is the trail leading to the Upper and Lower Martuljek waterfall. We recommend you experience them both and along the trail, you will surely be overwhelmed by the unforgettable beauty of nature and human smallness compared with the grandeur of the mighty face of the Špik mountain range.

Admire the Ajdovska deklica, the rock face of a maiden, in the face of Mount Prisank. Legend has it that she was turned into rock by the Ajdovska maidens.
